More from the cactus “forest” near Starr Pass towards Old Tucson Studios and the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.

As I was traveling over Starr Pass in Tucson, Arizona, I couldn’t but help notice this unique saguaro just slightly off the beaten path.  What looks like a cushioned chair on top of this saguaro is simply another branch formation that never finished growing.  I certainly wouldn’t be first to take that seat.

View from the northeastern side of the Mission San Xavier del Bac in Tucson, Arizona.  The mission is under renovation, and you can really see the detail in the wear of the beautiful “White Dove’s” paint.

I snapped this photo of my daughter’s eye as I was testing and just before I purchased the latest addition to my Canon EF lenses, the Canon EF 50 mm fixed focal length Macro lens. I was in awe at how relatively cheap (picked it up for under $300) it was and how massive the depth of field it could create at less than 10 inches from my subject! After taking this photo I new I had to buy the lens, so I did.

This is one of two photos I captured of myself using my Canon Digital Rebel XTi on a tripod. I used my L Series – EF 17-40mm Prime (Wide Angle) lens and used the a wireless remote to capture the image. The guitar is a Martin DC-16GTR acoustic/electric, one of two Martin guitars I own.

Oh…I am a photographer, yes. And I happen to be transgendered. Such is life. We all “happen” to be something, but it’s not the “happens” that define us. Life is beautiful. Photograph it!

This is the second photo I took of the Doubletree Hotel in Tucson, Arizona using the Canon EF 10-17 mm ultra wide angle lens.

This was taken in early April 2008 in front of the Doubletree Hotel in Tucson, Arizona. The tall palm trees caught my eye, and I was quite surprised to see just how much I could capture using my near fisheye ultra wide angle Canon EF 10-17 mm lens. Using the standard 55-75 lens would not have been possible to capture as much.  Very little aberrations on the edges too.  This $500 lens was worth every penny!

I photographed these children as they looked perplexed during their attempt to piece together a world puzzle.  I attempted to finish the puzzle for the but was unable to figure out the smaller pieces as well.  Clearly, NOT a puzzle for preschoolers.

The awkwardness of this worn saguaro cactus standing directly in front of the Mission San Xavier del Bac in Tucson, Arizona caught my eye as I entered the edifice.  Other friends have told me they liked this photo in particular so I’m sharing it here.  (It almost appears that the cactus’ arms are raised in the air in worship, similar to believer’s raised arms when they worship their Creator.)
